Maundy Thursday 2017

palm leaves

By Larry Peacock

Listen closely, watch and feel,
For Love is at work.
See humble compassion, feel gracious hospitality
As your feet are washed.
So care for others;
Pick up a basin and towel.
The table is set;
Food is provided.
Break the bread;
Lift the cup.
Share the gifts.
Every meal is a time to give thanks.
Every meal is a reminder
Of love and community,
Of brokenness and kindheartedness,
Of strength and unity
At the table,
Around the table.
Can you extend the table?
For here, lives are changed, again and again!
