John the Baptist Identifies Jesus as the Lamb of God

Sunday, January 19. 2nd Sunday after Epiphany. What is your normal Sunday routine? Spend part of the day today planning your spiritual activities for the week.

What spiritual activities will you be sure to include in your week?

Words from The Word: I will turn all my mountains into roads; my highways will be built up.
- Isaiah 49:11, CEB

Lectionary Texts:

Audio Lectio: Look! The Lamb of God! John 1:35-39a.

Spiritual Tools: You are invited to think about and begin to practice simple acts of kindness and compassion as an expression of your Active Intercession.

Again, thank you for the vital prompt. I plan to continue Alive Now…every morning. I’ll purchase the book for a new small group Bible study that begins next week. God-willing, I’ll awake with silence and prayer. And, I will attempt to continue a set of Spiritual Disciplines that I began last fall. Many of us entered the New Year slowly…for many reasons. Unusual cold has slowed the routine or juggled it for those of us in the East and in other regions of our nation. Let’s strive for a renewed plan, before another “vortex” reaches us! Blessings for this Sabbath.

My spiritual activities include silent meditation at home either sitting or walking. Attend Quaker Meeting most First Days of the week for an hour of Silence.
