True Vine

Sunday, May 6. Fifth Sunday of Easter. Read Psalm 22:25-31. How do these verses describe Jesus’ call?

How do these words describe or inspire your sense of call?

Words from The Word: Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. -1 John 4:7, NIV

This Week…

Lectionary Texts:

Audio Lectio: Jesus says “I am the vine” – listen to and pray these words from John 15:5-7.

Pray for: the people and countries of Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Spiritual Tools: Hearing the call of God is only half the struggle — we must also learn to discern that call in our lives. Let’s get started with Discerning God’s Will by Nicole Corlew.

Quote:

O God, who calls those who will follow along with you, show us our duty today, and give us bread for our journey. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Psalm reminds me that even though our understanding of God changes as we spirituality grow, God has been, is, and will be for generations, LOVE.
Peace to all…Rev. Louise

I’m inspired in my call that I have the gospel story of Jesus Christ to tell.
